Director Human Resources

The Director of Human Resources is a key member of our Hospice of Holland leadership team.
This role is responsible for the functional human resource area within Hospice of Holland, including but not limited to recruitment; benefit planning and administration; payroll; wellness; the administration and interpretation of applicable state and federal employment laws; the creation and administration of internal personnel policies; management of workers compensation and unemployment claims; and maintenance of Hospice of Holland's liability insurances.
The Director of Human Resources works in our Holland office and oversees a staff of two full-time employees.
The successful candidate must be capable and willing to mentor their professional growth and help them attain their development goals.
The work schedule is Monday - Friday from 8am to 5pm.
The pay range is from $71,000 to $107,000 depending on experience and skills.

Responsibilities of The Director of Human Resources include:
Directing all daily human resources operations.
Ensuring that employee recruitment, performance management, discipline, and termination procedures are handled consistently and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Collaborating with other members of the Leadership Team to establish personnel policies and practices that meet organizational needs and assures compliance with relevant state and federal regulations.
Working with the management team to identify recruitment needs and develop a recruitment plan designed to fill demand with quality candidates.
Maintaining positive employee relations.
Identifying and implementing human resource solutions to current and future organizational circumstances and needs.
Advising the Executive Director on sensitive employee and/or human resources situations.
Maintaining a collaborative, supportive and mentoring environment within the Human Resources department.

Qualifications of the Human Resources Director include:
A Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred, in Business Administration or related field, with emphasis in human resource management.
At least ten (10) years of experience in health care management, preferably in hospice/home care/hospital operations with competent working knowledge of human resources management.
At least five (5) years of experience in employee recruitment, and retention.
Excellent communication, public relations, and organizational skills.
The ability to work autonomously, be assertive, yet flexible, and cooperative, and be able to handle emergency or crisis situations with a calm and organized approach.
Knowledge of all applicable local, state, and federal regulations that impact the healthcare and small business environment.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
